HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Trevecca (2-3) lost both matches on Saturday at the 2015 Hilton Garden Suites UAH Classic. The Southern Arkansas Muleriders (2-1) defeated the Trojans 25-15, 28-30, 13-25, 20-25. TNU fell, 22-25, 15-25, 23-25, in the Classic finally to the host Chargers of UAH (5-0) at Spragins Hall.  

Trevecca returns to action on Wednesday when they host Union University (0-0) at 6 PM. The match will be broadcast live over the Trojan Sports Network.

Coach Jayme Crowley said about the Southern Arkansas game, "We were up 1-0 and had them in set #2 at game point and served the ball out. We had the opportunity to close out and we did not finish this time. That is a growing pain that we'll feel for now, but we will improve and find the way to finish next time. Some of our battles to improve will simply be to erase our own mistakes." 

In regards to the UAH Chargers match Crowley added, "We ran a 6-2 to allow more opportunities to get the more players into the lineup, which helps us early in the season to analyze our depth and future lineups. We also held Clare Taylor (FR/Milan, TN) out due to an injury and her loss certainly was felt in our ball control."

Crowley concluded, "We have a promising future and look forward to growing more and enjoying our upcoming home court advantage at the Trojan Fieldhouse next week. We are excited to be able to play in front of the student body, parents, alums, and fans over the next week. We are especially looking forward to seeing our volleyball alums during the Scott Jones Classic next weekend."

Katelyn Atkinson (JR/Hermitage, TN) produced another double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs and added two blocked shots. 

Clare Taylor (7) and Alex Reuter (FR/Brentwood, TN) (6) also brought power to the Trojan attack via kills. Loren Bennett (SR/Ooltewah, TN)  set 33 assists and added two servic aces and seven digs and on block assist. Zakia Jackson (SR/Hermitage, TN) had five kills and two service aces. 

As a team Trevecca had a .579 attack percentage in the first set (11 kills/0 errors/19 attacks).  

Loren Bennett turned in another double-double with 27 assists and 10 digs. Katelyn Atkinson was strong again with 12 kills and a .385 attack percentage. She chipped two assists, nine digs, and two block assists. 

Zakia Jackson added seven kills and a .238 attack percentage with eight kills and a block assist.
