PHILLIPI, W.Va. – The Trevecca men's soccer team (1-3, 0-1 G-MAC) lost 2-1 at Alderson Broaddus University (2-0-1, 1-0 G-MAC) on Thursday at the Multi-Sport Performance Stadium.

Trevecca travels to Elkins, W.Va. now for a 1:30 PM Saturday contest at Davis & Elkins College (1-1-1, 0-1 G-MAC). The series between the Trojans and the Senators is even at 1-1. D&E defeated TNU 2-1 in Nashville last year. The Senators will play in Nashville this year on October 22nd.

Trevecca is 1-2 all-time versus ABU. Trevecca defeated the Battlers 1-0 last year in Nashville. The teams will meet again in Nashville on October 24.

The game-winning goal came from Michael Gallardo in the 72nd minute (71:16). The shot came from about 12 yards out on an assist from Nathaniel Kast.

The game entered the second half with ABU leading the Trojans 1-0.

Trevecca's Sammual Mummert scored the equalizer in the 47th minute (47:28) from 20 yards out for the Trojans.

The first Battler goal, that gave them a 1-0 lead, came off the foot of Deshawn Parker in the 13th minute (13:28) on a breakaway that was launched from 15 yards out. Kevin Hernandez picked up an assist on the play.

The Battlers created 21 shots while Trevecca finished with 15 shot attempts. Nine of the ABU shots were on goal while the Trojans collected five shots on goal.

ABU keeper Ricard Lao picked up his first win of the season after finishing with four saves. Trevecca's keeper Daniel Mudd (JR/Shelbyville, TN) had nine saves, seven in the second half.

Frank Down (SO/Ballincollg, Ireland) led the Purple and White with four shots.
