The Trojans resume conference play with a pair of double headers on Friday, April 3 and Saturday, April 4 against Davis & Elkins College (2-14, 0-4 G-MAC) at Jackson Field.
The Falcons grabbed two in the first inning with a two-RBI home run from Rodriguez and doubled that total in the second with four runs on four hits.
The Trojans combined for three in the first two innings and doubled that in the third and fourth innings with two in the third and four in the fourth, while holding the Falcons at bay, to take the lead, 9-6.
In the first, Tyler Tichenor (JR/Centertown, Ky) laid down the bunt then stole second. He advanced to third on a Carter Wiseman (FR/Hendersonville, Tenn.) single and snuck in during a double play.
Bryson Shelton (SO/Powell, Tenn. ) led off the second with a double to left field. Ethan Hurt (SO/Pegram, Tenn.) followed with a double down the left line to switch places with Shelton. Hurt came in on a Chad Sutton (FR/Independence, Mo.) single and scored on an error by the third baseman.

In the fourth, Cameron Boyett (JR/Rockvale, Tenn.) was hit by a pitch. Clayton Nichols (SR/Franklin, Tenn.) walked to reach and put two on. Tichenor and Wiseman made both count with back to back singles to bring Boyett and Nichols in and give the Trojans the lead, 7-6.
A double from Nick Kristinus (FR/Murfreesboro, Tenn.) brought Tichenor in. Wiseman scored right behind him after a Bryson Shelton single that stretched the lead, 9-6.
Montevallo brought two in during the fifth to cut the Trojan lead down to one, 8-9.
Going into eight down by one, the Falcons brought in two more runs to take the lead, 10-9.
Top of the ninth with one out, Montevallo's Dupree sent a fly out to right field. Chad Sutton made the catch and a beautiful throw into home for Boyett to scoop it up and get the third out at home. Despite a great double play to finish the top of the inning, the Trojans were unable to bring in a run.
Trevecca had 12 hits and one error to Montevallo's 16 and two.
Carter Wiseman was 3-for-4 with one run, one RBI and a stolen base. Tyler Tichenor was 2-for-4 with two runs, one RBI and a stolen base. Three other Trojans stole bases; Hurt, Sutton, Nichols.
Ivey Starling (JR/Brentwood, Tenn.) pitched 3.1 innings and took the loss (2-1) while Kale Latorre improved to 1-0. Starling had four strikeouts, no walks, let five hits and two runs. Mac Barnes (FR/Arlington, Tenn.) and Ryan Arington (SO/Cincinnati, Ohio) both pitched two innings, Mason Dunn (JR/Goodlettsville, Tenn.) pitched 1.2 innings.
