Box Score 2 NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca Nazarene University softball (20-5, 11-0 G-MAC) held the Cedarville University Yellow Jackets (19-15, 7-3 G-MAC) to six hits while sweeping a doubleheader at the Trojan Softball complex, 3-0 and 3-1.

The two teams were originally scheduled to play on Friday and Saturday, but due to the weather forecast for Friday, those games were played on Thursday. After a day off, the teams will play a double-header on Saturday to completing the four-game series. On the the first game of the Saturday double header will count as a conference game. Game one on Saturday is slated for a 11 a.m. start and will be followed by a non-conference game at 2 p.m. WATCH Game One | Game Two
GAME ONE
Haley Fagan (JR/Cornersville, Tenn.) retired the first 13 Cedarville hitters. It wasn't until fifth-inning one-out single by Carlyn Hanzel that the Jackets had a baserunner. She was erased on a fielder's choice. Fagan retired Wolgamot on a ground out to end the inning.

Haley Fagan, 11-2, had nine strikeouts, with seven coming in the first four innings. Fagan allowed just three hits and no walks.

In the bottom of the second and with one out, Trevecca's Lindsey Stephens (SR/Somerset, Ky.) just missed a home run to left-center. Her drive bounced off of the top of the fence and she settled for a double. With two out, Stephens stole third just before Danielle Tyson (FR/Smithville, Tenn.) reached on an error, scoring Stephens in the process.

In the Trojan half of the third inning, Haley Fagan, the starting pitcher, helped her own cause after reaching on a single with one out. An out later Fagan moved to second on a Brantley ground out. The a passed ball advanced Fagan to third. Bailey Alexander (FR/Glasgow, Ky.) walked and stole second. Kelsey Kemp (SR/Lawrenceburg, Tenn.) took advantage with a single to right that scored Fagan and Alexander.
CU right-hander Courtnie Spain allowed just three hits and struck out four, but the Trojans had some key hits that made the difference.

Each team had just three hits and Cedarville had one error.

GAME TWO
Trevecca scored first in the second game, again scoring in the second inning. Alex Richardson (SO/Ten Mile, Tenn.) reached on a two-out walk and Tyson reached on a error, allowing Richardson to make it to third on the play. Richardson stole home for the first run of the game.

Former Trojan Nicole Davis had two of the three Cedarville hits and her RBI single with the bases loaded in the top of the third inning tied the score, 1-1. Trevecca's Lindsey Stephens, pitching game two, was able to limit the damage.

Trevecca came back with two more runs in the bottom of third. Crumpler opened the inning with a single. An out later Alexander singled to left. Mackenzie Leding (SR/Springfield, Tenn.) walked with two outs to load the bases. Lindsey Stephens doubled to drive in two more, putting the Trojans up 3-1.

The Yellow Jackets were able to put two on with two out in the seventh. Haley Fagan came on to pitch in relief of starter Stephens, but walked CU's O'Dell to load the bases. Fagan was able to put out the fire by Striking out Hanzel for the final out of the game.

Stephens (6-3) picked up the win while Fagan got the first save of the year for any Trevecca pitcher. Stephens allowed three hits and one run with four walks.

Brantely was 2-for-3 as was Tyson who had two stolen bases.
Cece Gummel (7-6) allowed three unearned runs on six hits and fanned two batters.
