Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University baseball team (16-12) lost 12-4, ending a seven-game winning streak, to the University of Montevallo (16-15) on Tuesday at Jackson Field.

Trevecca scored four runs in the second to take a 4-2 lead, but returned the favor with the Falcons taking advantage of a three-run third for a 5-4 lead. The Trojans were held in check the rest of the way while the Falcons built on their lead with one in the fourth and two in the fifth and sealed it with a four-run eighth.

Trevecca starter Zach Smith (FR/Estill Springs, Tenn.) (0-1) took the loss after going three innings and allowing two hits, five runs, and six walks. He sat down four Falcons on strikes.

Drew Mullinax (2-2) got the win for UM with seven innings of work. He allowed five hits and four unearned runs while walking two and striking out six. Trevecca allowed 13 hits and had three errors while UM gave up six Trojan hits and had two errors.

Tyler Tichenor (JR/Centertown, Ky) was 2-for-4 and was the only Trojan with more than a hit. Nick Kristinus (FR/Murfreesboro, Tenn.) was 1-for-4 and scored a run after reaching on the Trojans only extra base hit, a double. Carter Wiseman (FR/Hendersonville, Tenn.) had a two-rbi single.
