Box Score 3 NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University softball team (14-5, 6-0 G-MAC) defeated Ursuline College (7-11, 0-6 G-MAC) 7-5 with a Lindsey Stephens (SR/Somerset, Ky.) walk-off three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh.

Trevecca returns to action next weekend when they visit Ohio Valley University (4-19, 0-5 G-MAC) for another Great Midwest Athletic Conference series.

The Arrows took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first and held the lead until the bottom of the third inning when Trevecca moved ahead on a three-run home run by Bailey Alexander (FR/Glasgow, Ky.).

The Arrows responded with a run in the fourth and then produced their own three-run inning in the top of the sixth, taking a 5-3 lead. Trevecca cut the lead to just one with a run in the bottom of the sixth, setting the table for Stephens game winner in the seventh.

Kelsey Kemp (SR/Lawrenceburg, Tenn.) started and pitched 5.2 innings before giving way to Haley Fagan (JR/Cornersville, Tenn.) (8-2) in the sixth. Fagan earned the win in relief with 1.1 innings pitched. She allowed a hit and three walks, but didn't allow any runs.

In the bottom of the third inning, Jordan Griner (JR/Mulberry, Tenn.) walked ahead of a Ansley Brantley (JR/Kite, Ga.) double. Bailey Alexander sent a pitch over the fence down the line in left that landed well into the sand volleyball court.

In the Trojan seventh, Kelsey Kemp reached on a fielding error by the left fielder and advanced to second on the throw. Mackenzie Leding (SR/Springfield, Tenn.) followed with a single down the left field line that moved Kemp to third. Leding moved to second setting the table for Stephens. Ursuline brought in Gina Rosshirt to pitch in relief of starter Brittany Humbel. Rosshirt delievered a pitch to Stephens who lined a shot that quickly left the park to center giving the Trojans the win and sweep of the three-game series.

Trevecca had nine hits and an error that aided the Arrows cause in their three-run inning. UC had eight hits and an error.

Brantley, Alexander, and Leding all had two hits in the game. Alexander and Stephens produced three RBI. Seven different Trojans scored.
