Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Trevecca men's soccer (3-4-1, 1-0-1) defeated Kentucky Wesleyan (2-5, 0-2 G-MAC) with three unanswered goals, but had to go to two overtimes to get the win. Trevecca is 5-0 all-time against the Panthers.

The Trojans will be back in action to start their October slate at home on October 2nd against Alderson Broaddus. That match will start at 7:00 p.m.

The Panthers struck first scoring in the 16th minute. Braydon Brown (SR/Brownsburg, Ind.) got a hand on the ball, but didn't catch enough of it as it rolled in the net. The Panthers would score again just seven minutes later with a cross that went into the box for the goal.

The Trojans answered with a goal in the 20th minute. Jeremiah Wright (SO/Columbia, Tenn.) sent the ball into the box for Rob Ward (SR/York, England) who got just enough of it to deflect it into the back of the net. Wright would equalize the match with just more than eight minutes to go in the half with a shot from the top of the box.

After the first half, the Trojans led in the shot count 11-6 forcing Panther's keeper to make six saves.

The match remained level for the first 26 minutes of the second half. That is when Bruno DeMoraes was taken down making a move inside the box and was granted a penalty kick. Juan Egas (SR/Quito, Ecuador) took the shot and beat the keeper on the left side for the go-ahead goal with 18:35 left in the match.

The Panthers had an answer, quickly scoring in the 83rd minute of the match off of the Kentucky Wesleyan header.

The match moved to overtime where with just 24.4 seconds remaining in the first overtime, the Panthers were given a penalty kick. Trevecca keeper, Brown, made a spectacular diving save keeping the Trojan hopes alive for a second overtime period.

The Trojans put the pressure on in the second overtime and had two opportunties hit the post or crossbar and it looked like the Trojans would have to settle for a tie for the second match in a row.

The Trojans got one more opportunity whent he Panthers had a corner kick with about 30 seconds remaining. The ball was deflected away and popped in the air ahead of Jeremiah Wright. The sophomore controled the ball and drove the rest of the field as the clock was winding down.

Wright beat everyone down the field then working the keeper into a dive. Wright moved to the right side and again controlled the ball and drove it into the back of the net with a mere 14.1 seconds remaining in the second overtime.
