Box Score 2 NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trevecca Nazarene University softball team (17-5, 4-0 G-MAC) swept a Great Midwest Athletic Conference doubleheader over Ursuline College (8-11, 0-4 G-MAC) Saturday afternoon at the TNU Softball Complex. The Trojans won game one 6-2 and took game two 5-1.
Game One
Trevecca pounded out 11 hits and limited the Arrows to one hit despite giving up seven hits and committing three errors. The Arrows had one error.

TNU scored five unanswered, two in the fourth and three in the fifth, before UC got on the board with a run in the top of the sixth. Trevecca plated a final run in the sixth and Ursuline added on more in the seventh for the 6-2 final.

In the bottom of the fourth Trevecca's Kelsey Kemp delivered a two-out single and scored when Heather Shuler followed with a double.. Jordan Griner followed with a single and scored Shuler from second. ÂÂ

Haley Fagan (7-2) pitched a complete game and allowed seven hits, two runs - one earned, one walk and had two strike outs. Sarah Maxwell (2-3) started for the Arrows and took the loss. She pitched four innings and gave up six hits, four runs - all earned, two walks and had one strike out.

Trevecca had five doubles on the day and Alex Richardson had two of them. The freshman had a 2-for-4 game with two doubles and a run scored. Kelsey Kemp turned in a 2-for-4 effort with a run scored and an RBI. Lindsey Stephens also grabbed two hits going 2-for-3 with two RBI, a walk, and a run scored. ÂÂ

Game Two
Through the first three innings, just four runners reached scoring position as both team's pitchers were effective.

Ursuline broke the scorelees tie in the fourth inning as Brittany Humbel doubled to left center plating Jayla Garner.

The Trojans responded in the fifth as Kaitlin Crumpler hit her first career home run tying the game at 1. Four batters later, Mackenzie Leding doubled to center field scoring Stephens and Ansley Brantley giving TNU a 3-1 advantage.

TNU got its final two runs in the bottom of the sixth as Stephens tripled to left center plating Brantley and Megan Chesney.

Stephens was the only player to record multiple hits for TNU as she went 3-for-4 with one run scored and three driven in. She also picked up her third win in the circle tossing a complete game, scattering five hits, allowing just a run and fanning five.

The Trojans will return to action March 25 as they travel to Tennessee Wesleyan College (9-17) for a 2:00 p.m. non-conference doubleheader.
