Box Score 2 NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene (10-3) softball team swept a non-conference doubleheader over Ohio Dominican (1-7) Saturday afternoon at the TNU Softball Complex.

The Trojans rallied to win game one 5-4 and then edged the Panthers 4-3 in game two.

GAME ONE
ÂÂ
ODU took a 2-1 lead in the third. The Panthers' Taylor Thomas reached on an error plating two runs.
ÂÂ
In the fourth inning, Allie Hinton stole home and in the next at-bat Rachael Stanzel doubled down the left field line scoring another.
ÂÂ
Down 4-1 heading to the bottom of the fourth, the Trojans would begin to rally.
ÂÂ
Jordan Griner cut Trevecca's deficit to 4-2 with an RBI single through the right side plating Kelsey Kemp.
ÂÂ
In the fifth, Lindsey Stephens hit connected to left field scoring Ansley Brantley. Two batters later, Kemp delivered a two-out single to left center scoring Stephens. That tied the game at 4.

After a scoreless sixth frame, Trevecca's Heather Shuler hit a two-out single scoring Haley Fagan giving the Trojans a come-from-behind win.

Fagan (4-1) tossed a complete game, allowed seven hits, four runs and struck out eight. Kemp led Trevecca with three hits while Brantley and Griner each collected two hits.

GAME TWO
ÂÂ
The Panthers took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first as Kelsey Albanese doubled down the left field line plating a run.

Trevecca responded with three runs in the third. Brantley hit her first home run of the season to tie the game at 1. Two batters later, Mackenzie Leding singled scoring Stephens. Shuler closed out the scoring with an RBI double down the left field line.

ODU tied the game at 3 in the fifth inning. Kelsey Seeds drew a bases-loaded walk and Hinton followed with an RBI single to left field.

In the bottom half the fifth, Shuler had a two-out single up the middle scoring Kemp.
ÂÂ
Ohio Dominican would only put one runner in scoring position in the final two innings as Trevecca prevailed 4-3.

Kemp (3-1) tossed a complete game, scattered four hits, allowed three runs and struck out five.
ÂÂ
Shuler went 3-for-3 and drove in a team-high two runs while Stephens collected a pair of hits.

Trevecca returns to action March 4 at they travel to Union University (11-8) for a 3 p.m. doubleheader.
