HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Lindsey Stephens went the distance and allowed just four hits as Trevecca Nazarene (2-0) blanked Miles College (0-2) 1-0 Friday evening in a non-conference softball game at the University of Alabama in Huntsville Charger Chillout.

Stephens struck out three batters while forcing six fly outs and nine groundouts.

The Trojans got all the scoring they would need in the top of the second inning. With Kelsey Kemp and Ansley Brantley on second and third, respectively, following stolen bases, Heather Shuler would hit a sacrifice fly to centerfield to drive in Brantley.

Miles would have just two runners in scoring position throughout the game.  In the bottom of the third, Keyana Chapman doubled and in the seventh, Monique Wooten reached second before Chapman lined out to Brantley at shortstop to close the game.

The Trojans' only hit of the game came in the top of the fourth as Jordan Griner doubled.

TNU returns to action tomorrow (Feb. 8) at 10 a.m. to face Stillman College (0-2) before playing West Georgia (2-1) at noon.
