Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trevecca Nazarene University baseball team (6-2) won their fifth in a row in convincing fashion. They defeated Ohio Dominican University (1-1) 8-0 at Jackson Field. It was the Trojans final game in the Alan Smith Classic.

Trevecca scored a run in the bottom of the first and that would prove to be enough as Trojan starter Alex Shoulders (1-1) was in control from the start. Shoulders, who pitched eight innings, allowed just five hits and no walks while striking out seven. Ryan Schultz pitched a perfect ninth to cap off the win.

Offensively the Trojan highlights were many. Three Trojans had multi-hit games. Nick Howell was 3-for-4 with a run scored, two RBI, a double, three stolen bases, and a walk. Tyler Tichenor was 3-for-5 with a run scored, and two stolen bases. Ethan Hurt was 2-for-3 with three runs scored, a walk, a stolen base, and an RBI. All nine non-pitchers reached base for the Trojans, eight reached with a base hit.

Austin Bueter (0-1) took the loss for the Panthers. He started and pitched five and two thirds. He allowed 12 Trojan hits and seven runs, six earned. He gave up two walks and had six strikeouts.

Trevecca pounded out 13 hits and had two errors. ODU had five hits to go along with four errors.

Trevecca will return to action on Tuesday when they visit the University of North Alabama (4-8) for a 2 p.m. game.
