Box Score PHILLIPPI, W.Va. - The Trevecca Nazarene University women's basketball team (15-8, 12-2 G-MAC) remained in a tie for first place in the G-MAC standings with a 77-51 victory over Alderson Broaddus University (3-20, 3-10 G-MAC). The Trojans have won 10 of their last 12 outings. All 11 Trojans scored in the game with senior Anna Mitchell leading the way with 14.

The Trojans opened the game with an 8-0 run and never really looked back. When Helen Mitchner buried a three-pointer with 10:44 to go in the first half the Trojan lead was 13 (18-5). The visitors kept the pressure on and with 1:25 to go in the first the TNU lead had reached 23 (39-16), which was their largest of the half. At the half, Trevecca had doubled up the Battlers, 42-21.

In the second half, the Trojan advantage never dipped below 17. With 11:41 to go ABU's Sydney Shaffer hit a three-pointer to make it a 54-37 TNU lead. Trevecca responded with a 11-0 run that pushed the Trojans lead to 28 (65-37) with 8:02 remaining.

Trevecca's largest lead ending up being 29 (69-40) when Kylie White sank the second of two free throws at the 6:28 mark. Trevecca outscored Alderson Broaddus 35-30 in the second half for a 77-51 final.

Trevecca shot 50% (27-54) from the field, 31% (6-19) from three-point range, and 74% (17-23) from the foul line. Trevecca outrebounded ABU 36-30 while ABU had 18 turnovers to TNU's 14. ABU never held the lead in the game.

Anna Mitchell led Trevecca with 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the field. Helen Mitchner stuck for 11 points while Paige Baugher scored 10. Mitchner was 3-for-5 from beyond the arch. ÂÂ

Marissa Jennings, who scored five, grabbed a team-high six rebounds. Mitchner grabbed five rebounds and dished out a team-high three assists. ÂÂ

Trevecca holds a 2-0 advantage in the all-time series. TNU defeated ABU 75-45 on January 9th at the Trojan Fieldhouse.

Trevecca will stay in West Virginia to play Davis & Elkins College (12-12, 9-3 G-MAC) Saturday at 1 PM in Elkins, W.Va. Trevecca defeated D&E 74-66 at the Fieldhouse on January 11th. The Senators have won eight of their last nine games.
