ROLLA, Mo. - Trevecca (4-6) lost on the road at Missouri S&T (6-2) 107-97 and the Miners take the season series after winning in Nashville 88-78 to end the Trojans three-game win streak. Byron Sanford (JR/Louisville, KY) led Trevecca with a season-high 32 points at Billy Key Court.

Trevecca visits McKendree University (5-0) on Saturday in Lebanon, Ill. for a 3 p.m. contest that is a rematch of a 90-81 Bearcat win on Nov. 29 at the Trojan Fieldhouse.

In all five Trojans scored in double figures. Jacob Williams (FR/Lebanon, TN) (19), Jalen Palm (JR/Louisville, KY) (12), Matt Gamberoni (JR/Mulhouse, France) (12), and Percy Blade (SO/Louisville, KY) (10) all reached double figures in scoring. Williams hit 6-of-8 from three-point range. As a team Trevecca hit 11-of-19 from beyond the arc for 58%. Sanford was 11-of-14 from the field and hit 8-of-11 from the line. Sanford and Slay Chol (JR/Juba, South Sudan) led the team with six rebounds a piece. Sanford also had five assists and two steals. Palm added a team-high six assists.

Missouri S&T scored first, but the Trojans took the lead on a Percy Blade three-pointer and lead at the 18:25 mark. Trevecca held the lead until the 7:37 mark with MS&T tied the game at 32-32. A Jacob Williams three pointer put the Trojans up again. The Miners pulled ahead for the second time on a Clement Banardo layup with 5:09 to go in the half.

The Miners would not trail again and led by seven, 57-50, at the half. Trevecca led by as many as nine (32-23) with 8:53 remaining when Jalen Palm buried a three pointer. The three capped a run of seven straight points for Palm.

Trevecca started the second half with a 10-0 run to take a three-point (60-57) lead with 17:50 to go. Byron Sanford scored six of the 10 in the run. After a Miner three tied it at 60-60, Sanford drilled a three himself for a 63-60 TNU edge. Moments later Sanford hit a pair of free throws for a 67-63 TNU lead. In all, Sanford scored 11 of the Trojans first 17 second half points in just 4:24 of game time.

With 15:13 left in the game Trevecca led 69-65. The Miners used their pressure defense to turn the Trojans over and as a result, the outcome of the game. By the time the clock hit 8:13, the Miners had outscored the Trojans 20-4 and held a 85-73 lead.

Trevecca cut the lead to single digits (91-85) with 4:45 to go, but the Miners turned the tide the other way just as quickly and had built a 15-point (100-85) lead with 3:23 to go.

The Miners held off the Trojans the rest of the way for a 107-97 victory.

Trevecca gave up the ball 26 times under the pressure defense from the Miners. The Miners scored 39 points off of those turnovers while the Trojans score 22 off of 17 MS&T turnovers. The Miners edged the Trojans 36-31 in rebounding. The Miners had a 52-38 advantage in bench scoring.

Trevecca scored their second most points of the year in the loss. The season high was during a 107-95 win at Salem International.

Trevecca shot 57% (32-56) from the field and hit 73% (22-30) from the line.
