NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca (15-14, 6-5 G-MAC) lost in three, in the home finale, to visiting Ursuline College (17-7, 8-3 G-MAC) 20-25, 22-25, 20-25.

Trevecca will head to the Great Midwest Athletic Conference tournament as the fifth seed. Cedarville (Ohio) University is the host team this season. The championships are set for November 13-15.

In the opening set the visiting Arrows led the entire way to a 25-20 victory. Trevecca, down 20-10, did show improved play down the stretch with a 10-4 run that pulled them within four at 24-20, but UC finished off the Trojans for a first-set win.

The Arrows jumped out to a 4-0 advantage in the second set and led 19-13 before the Trojans leveled the score at 22-22 with a 9-3 run. UC took the final three point though for a 25-22 win.

In the must-win third set Trevecca took their first lead of the match when they pulled ahead 2-1. Trevecca led 15-14, but Ursuline used a 8-3 run to take control 22-18. A kill by Katelyn Atkinson (SO/Hermitage, Tenn.) made it 23-20 Arrows, but Molly Hilfinger answered on the next point with a kill and then she finished off the Trojans and the match with her serve on the next point..

Zakia Jackson (JR/Hermitage, Tenn.) led Trevecca with eight kills while Loren Bennett (JR/Ooltewah, Tenn.) had 25 assists and 20 digs. Kayleigh Jarrett (SO/Tehachapi, Calif.) had 10 digs. Delaney Hearne (JR/San Marcos, Tex.) had six kills and a .385 attack percentage.
