Box Score
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trevecca Nazarene University volleyball team (12-9) dropped a non-conference match to the University of Alabama-Huntsville (11-7) Tuesday night in the Trojan Fieldhouse. The Chargers prevailed in four sets, 25-14, 25-17, 27-29, 25-17.

The Trojans return to the court Thursday with a trip to Lebanon, Tenn., for a matchup with Cumberland (12-12). Game time at the Dallas Floyd Recreation Center is 6pm.

The match with UAH was tight early, with the teams swapping leads several times in the early going. But with the score tied 9-9, the Chargers went on a 16-5 run to easily win the opening set. The Trojans didn't fare much better in the second set, as Alabama-Huntsville jumped out to a 12-3 lead and coasted to a 2-0 set lead.

To the Trojans' credit, they battled hard to win a very tight third set, fighting off two match points to force another set. But the Chargers put the match away in the fourth set to complete the season sweep of Trevecca.

Delaney Hearne (JR/San Marcos, Tex.) led the Trojans with 11 kills, and added six digs and two block assists. Katelyn Atkinson (SO/Hermitage, Tenn.) and Zakia Jackson (JR/Hermitage, Tenn.) added 10 kills apiece, and Loren Bennett (JR/Ooltewah, Tenn.) dished out 40 assists. The Chargers, meanwhile, had a very balanced attack. Five different players notched at least seven kills, led by freshman Jordan Morrison with 16.

Trevecca struggled on the attack, committing 30 errors along with 43 kills in 144 attempts, good for a hitting percentage of just .090. UAH hit at a .224 clip, with 57 kills against 25 errors in 143 attempts.
