Box Score WILBERFORCE, Ohio – The Trevecca men's basketball team (5-8, 2-1 G-MAC) led at the half, but lost the lead in the second half and fell 88-78 at Central State University's (8-5, 1-0 G-MAC) Beacom/Lewis Gymnasium on Thursday night.

Trevecca led for most of the first half and held a 44-38 half time edge. The second half was a different story as the Marauders outscored Trevecca 50-35 in the second half. ÂÂ

The Marauders used pressure defense to turn the Trojans over enough in the second half that they eventually built a double figure lead and held of a Trojan run for an 88-78 victory.

Jordan Miles led Trevecca with 20 points and grabbed five rebounds. Matt Pond (18), Bryon Sanford (11), and Taylor Clay (11) all reached double figure scoring as well. Pond led the Trojans in rebounding (9) and assists (5). Christopher Elliott collected eight points, four rebounds, and three assists.

Trevecca shot 48% (27-56) from the field, 33% (7-21) from three-point range, and 71% (17-24) from the foul line.

CSU outrebounded Trevecca 38-35. Trevecca had 23 turnovers while CSU had 12.

Trevecca, just a game out of first place, will travel to nearby Cedarville University (1-11, 0-1 G-MAC) for a 3:15 p.m. game on Saturday.
