Trevecca jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the second.  After Lacey Grimes singled, she would steal second and the ensuing attempt to tag her out would result in Mackenzie Leding reaching home giving TNU a 1-0 lead. Grimes advanced to third in the same sequence and in the next at-bat Heather Shuler would drive in Grimes as she grounded out to second.

Breanna Zeis, the 2013 G-MAC Offensive Player of the Year, would push Trevecca's lead to 3-0 after a solo home run to left field in the fourth.

TNU added one more run in the fifth as Shelby Andrews reached home after Zeis was caught stealing between first and second.

Cedarville would finally get its first hit in the fifth as Shelby Young singled.  The Yellow Jackets wouldn't be able to get a run across however as the Trevecca infield got a couple grounders and had two force outs.

Tanya Busby added a hit in the sixth before Young collected a single in the seventh for Cedarville. The game ended after Jessica Palm lined into a double play at first base with Grimes tagging out Carlyn Hanzel at first.

Stephens tossed a complete game while allowing just three hits. She struck out four batters and induced 10 groundouts and six flyouts. Stephens also collected a pair of hits for TNU.

Kelsey Kemp, Andrews, Grimes, Leding and Zeis each had a hit as well for the Trojans.

Trevecca will play for the G-MAC Softball Tournament Championship starting tomorrow at 11 a.m. Live video and stats can be found here.
