Box Score PEPPER PIKE, Ohio - The Trevecca softball team (25-10, 12-0 G-MAC) defeated Ursuline College (9-20, 0-10 G-MAC) 9-0, 9-0 for a double header sweep. The wins give Trevecca a perfect run through the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) season. The 2013 G-MAC champions will host the first-ever conference tournament May 2-3 at the Trojan Softball Complex.
Game One
Trevecca didn't waste anytime getting control of the first game, scoring four runs in the top of the first inning. Trevecca added four more in the third and then one final run in the fifth for a 9-0 win.
Trevecca scored those nine runs on 11 hits and played errorless defense. The Arrows had three hits and two errors.
Five Trojans collected two hits (Jordan, Rogers, Leding, Kemp, and Grimes) with Haylee Rogers leading the way with a 2-for-3 effort. The centerfielder added two doubles, a stolen base, a run scored, a walk, and two RBI.
Natalie Papini (7-2) picked up with in with three innings of nearly perfect work in the circle. Papini allowed a hit and a walk while sitting down six Arrows on strikes.
In the four-run first, Trevecca's Aubrey Jordan lead off with a single the stole second and advanced to third on an error. Rogers followed with the first of her two doubles, scoring Jordan. Breanna Zeis walked before MacKenzie Leding singled scoring Rogers and moving Zeis to second. A SAC Bunt by Lindsey Stephens moved the runners up for Kelsey Kemp to drive in with her double. .
Game Two
Breanna Zeis and Lacey Grimes led the Trojan offense in game two. Zeis was 2-for-4 with two home runs, two runs scored, and four RBI. Grimes was 3-for-3 with a home run, a double, two runs scored, and four RBI.
The Trojans scored three in the first, one in the second and fourth, two in the sixth, and two in the ninth. In all the Trojans managed 13 hits and no errors while Kelsey Kemp (10-2) pitched a one-hitter for Trevecca. The Arrows had one error in the game.
Kemp pitched a complete game shutout and allowed a hit and six walks while striking out seven Arrows.
Additionally Lindsey Stephens was 3-for-4 at the plate and Heather Shuler was 2-for-4 with a stolen base, a run scored and an RBI. ÂÂ

Trevecca will host the 2013 G-MAC tournament this coming Thursday and Friday, May 2-3) at the Trojan Softball Complex.
Trevecca will face Ursuline on Thursday, May 2nd in the opening round.
