NASHVILLE – The Trevecca (10-5, 4-0 G-MAC) softball team swept a Great Midwest Athletic Conference softball doubleheader over Ursuline College (6-8, 0-4 G-MAC) Thursday afternoon at the TNU Softball Complex.

Zeis would push the Lady Trojans' lead to 4-0 in the fifth with a home run to left field.

Ursuline got on the board in the next inning as Rachel Wells singled through the right side scoring Samantha Roberts.

TNU would close the game in the sixth scoring five runs highlighted by Shelby Andrews' three-run RBI double to left center invoking the run rule.

In the fourth, Lindsey Stephens give TNU a 5-2 lead after an RBI double to right center.

Ursuline would respond though to climb back into the game. In the top of the fifth, Megan Passwaiter hit a two-run double to bring the Arrows to within one run (5-4).

Still down 5-4 in the top of the seventh, Wells would tie the game with a shot to right center.

The Arrows couldn't use their defensive momentum though in the eighth as Stephens retired the side to bring Trevecca up to bat.

With runners on first and second, Haylee Rogers grounded out to put two runners into scoring position. In the next at-bat, Ursuline's catcher attempted to pickoff Andrews at third but her throw from home sailed past UC's third baseman allowing Andrews to score and end the game.
