NASHVILLE - Trevecca Nazarene University baseball (14-10) swept a pair of games from Bloomsburg University (4-8) 11-0 and 8-5 . Trevecca, winners of their last five, are now four games over .500 on the season.

Game One
Ten different Trojans reached base as Trevecca collected 15 hits. Seven of those hits were extra base hits. Hunter Newman and Nick Howell each had two extra base hits. Newman delivered a double and a home run. Howell a pair of doubles. Six different Trojans had at least two hits while Trae Weiss had a three-hit game.

Connor Haddock (3-0) allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out three o e six innings of work. Ryne Rayburn pitched a perfect seventh to complete the combined  shutout for Trevecca.

Trevecca exploded with six runs in the second and added two runs in the first and third inning for a 10-0 lead. Trevecca added a run in the fourth to end the scoring. TNU had one error to go along with their 11 runs and 15 hits.  Bloomsburg had one hit and drew a walk for their only base runners of the game.

Game Two
Trevecca added 13 hits in game two and piled on eight more runs. TNU had two errors, but BU gave back three. BU turned on their offense though with nine this and five runs.

Trevecca scored a run in each of the first two at bats, then had a four-run third to claim a 6-0 lead. Bloomsburg scored four of their own in the fourth, but gave up a solo run in the fourth and fifth inning and trailed 8-4. BU added one more run in the sixth, but couldn't close the gap any further.

Four more Trojans had multi-hit games. Nick Howell was 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and a walk. Tyler Tichenor was 2-for-3 with a run scored and three RBI.

Austin Huibers started, but didn't figure in the decision. Tim Bowles (1-1) came on in relief and picked up the win. He pitched four inning allowing two hits, two runs - one earned, while allowing three walks with two strikeouts.

Trevecca will host Bloomsburg again on Monday for a double header starting at 1 p.m. There will be live video and audio of both games.
