The slow start wouldn't faze TNU as they battled in the third set and won by a score of 25-19. Jackson and Johnson tallied three kills during the set.

In the fourth set, Kentucky Wesleyan seemed destined to win the match as they held a 22-17 advantage. However, the Trojans wouldn't allow that to happen on their home floor as they fought to tie the match at 24.

The Panthers would aid the Trojans during the comeback with four attack errors.  Freshman Delaney Hearne was a key contributor in the fourth set as she tallied three of Trevecca's points including the final point which tied the match at two sets apiece.

In the final set, Trevecca jumped out to a 4-1 lead but KWC would rally back to take a 6-5 advantage.  The score would go back and forth until both teams were tied at 14.

The final two points of the match came on a service error by Johnson and a kill by Jenna Robertson.

Trevecca hits the road this weekend for the Homestead-Holiday Inn Invitational hosted by Olivet Nazarene.  They'll take on 23rd-ranked (NAIA) Indiana University East Sept. 14 at 11 A.M.
