Box Score 2 NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trevecca softball team (18-10, 9-3 TranSouth) split a doubleheader with NAIA No. 11 Union University (26-7, 12-2) Friday evening, taking the opener 6-4 before dropping the nightcap 5-2.
Game One In the first game, the teams traded runs in the second inning before the Trojans took the lead for good in the bottom of the third on a suicide squeeze by
Heather Shuler and an RBI double by

But the Bulldogs answered with three runs of their own in the top of the fifth inning on back-to-back home runs by Alex Williams and Sam Giesler, but
Lauren Baker ended the rally there, and
Natalie Papini held Union hitless over the final two innings to notch her second save of the season.
Baker (8-3) picked up the win, going five innings and allowing four runs on five hits with one strikeout and four walks. Union's Brooke Thomas (12-5) went the distance and took the loss, allowing six runs on seven hits with eight strikeouts and three walks.
Zeis went 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, an RBI, and a run scored. Kemp was 1-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs scored.
Game TwoTrevecca jumped on top quickly in the nightcap, taking a 2-0 lead on a two-run homer by
Lauren Baker in the bottom of the first inning. Unfortunately, the Trojans would not score again the rest of the game.
Shelby Lamb, who went 3-for-3 with two RBI, got the Bulldogs on the board with a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning. Union took the lead with three runs in the fifth and Brooke Thomas capped the scoring with a solo home run in the sixth.
