Box Score CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Trevecca Nazarene University (13-8, 2-1 G-MAC) rolled to a three-set victory over Central State (0-7, 0-2 G-MAC) Friday night in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference volleyball match.

The Trojans dominated winning 25-8, 25-5 and 25-14.

Persephonie Devereaux led TNU with nine kills while hitting a blistering .538. Kristen Johnson added seven kills, six digs and five assists while Caroline Gay had a match-high 15 assists. Loren Bennett paced the defense with a match-high 12 kills.

Erin McKnight had four kills for Central State while Brein Babbs handed out six assists for the Lady Marauders. CSU's Jasmine Cooper collected a team-best six digs.

In the first set, the Trevecca defense set the tone holding Central State to a -.125 hitting percentage. The Trojans jumped out to a 15-4 lead after an Allison Boe kill and would prevail with ease winning 25-8.

The second set would be even more dominant for TNU as they held the Lady Marauders to a -.261 hitting percentage. Amy Bottomlee, Robertson and Johnson each had three points during the set.

Central State would give Trevecca a little more resistance in set three as they found themselves down five (10-5) following a kill by Diamond Lee. However, it would be the closest they would get the rest of the way.

Trevecca returns for two more conference matches Oct. 6 in Cedarville. They take on host school Cedarville University (18-3, 2-0 G-MAC) at 10 a.m. followed by a noon matchup with Ursuline College (2-19, 1-3 G-MAC). The Trojans defeated Ursuline in three sets back on Sept. 29.
