Trevecca opened the game with an 8-2 run, but Bethel quickly took control of the first half, The Wildcats used a 9-0 run and pushed ahead 11-8. BU led the rest of the first half and led by 11 (25-14) with 3:11 to go. Trevecca outscored Bethel 12-3 to the break and cut the Wildcat to just two points at 28-26.

Trevecca scored the first basket of the second half to tie the game, but BU used a 6-0 run to regain a 34-28. Trevecca quickly responded with a 11-2 run for a 39-36 lead. The game remained tight the rest of the way, but Trevecca held the lead most of the way. With a minute to go Trevecca led 68-65, but Bethel tied the game to push the game to overtime. The teams played a classic two overtime game two years ago, with Trevecca winning 83-80.

Trevecca outscored Bethel 11-8 in the overtime period for the 76-73 win.

Michael France scored 22 points and added five rebounds and two assists. Keith Morris had 20 points. Peyton Henry (13) and Eric Orr (10) scored in double figures as well for Trevecca. Marquise Rudolph scored six but had nine assists, two rebounds, and one steal.

Caleb Henry scored 15 points and added 17 rebounds for Bethel.

Trevecca shot 47% (30-63) from the field, 25% (3-12) from three-point range, and 52% (13-25) from the foul line. Bethel was 35% (27-77) from the field, 17% (4-24) from three-point range, and 68% (15-22) from the foul line. Trevecca outscored Bethel 39-37 in the second half.
