Box Score DAYTON, Tenn. - The Trevecca men's soccer team (1-1) went on the road for the first time in the 2011 season, and suffered a 2-0 loss to NAIA No. 11 Bryan College (2-0) Saturday night.
The Trojans were unable to muster much offense against the stingy Lions defense, only managing six shots the entire game. Four of those shots were on goal, but Bryan keeper Tyler Fuhler was up to the challenge, recording his second consecutive shutout to start the season.
Bryan got the only goal it would need off the foot of Andrew Knighten in the 28'. Tom Hemmings and Pierce Kiembi assisted on the tally. Hemmings added an insurance goal in the 72' off an assist from Gustavo Angel.
Trevecca will now prepare to host the Trevecca Invitational next weekend at the Trojan Soccer Complex. The Trojans will take on Brescia University (0-1) Friday night at 7 p.m. and Covenant College (0-2) Saturday night at 7 p.m.Â
