Trevecca coach Jayme Crowley said her team responded to her pre-game challenge of "raising the bar with enthusiasm" in honor of sophomore Persephonie Deveroux. Deveroux learned this week that she will miss the rest of the season with an injury. Crowley stated, "We wanted to play like Perse, because she plays with so much enthusiasm. It was a long trip and we felt that was important, to come out with enthusiasm."
Crowley continued, "Kristen (Johnson) was nearly perfect tonight and Kirsten (Taylor) hit it well and aggressively tonight. We are playing well together and everyone is doing their job. I am very proud of how confidently we are playing."
The Trojans will play at conference leading Bethel University (8-7, 6-0 TranSouth) Friday at 6 p.m.
