Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trojan volleyball team (9-7, 3-0 TranSouth) snapped a five-game losing streak Tuesday night with a 3-1 win over Cumberland University (8-11, 2-2) at Moore Gym. After dropping the opening set 23-25, Trevecca took the next three sets 25-14, 25-20, and 25-16 to finish off the Bulldogs for the second time this season.
Brittany Eller paced a balanced Trojan attack with 15 kills, while
Kristen Johnson and
Kirsten Taylor added nine kills apiece, with
Persephonie Devereaux chipping in six.
Setter
Halley Wiggins dished out 39 assists, and added nine digs, five kills, and a pair of service aces.
Haley White had 24 digs, with Eller adding 18 and Johnson 14.
The Trojans will play the first of four straight matches on the road Thursday night, when they travel to Union (6-6, 2-1) for a 7 p.m. match. The Bulldogs defeated the Trojans 3-0 at the Cumberland Classic back on September 10.
