Box Score MAYFIELD, Ky. - NAIA No. 6 Trevecca (36-3, 23-1 TranSouth) swept a pair of TranSouth conference games at Mid-Continent (11-26, 4-20 TranSouth) Wednesday, winning game one 13-0 in five innings, and taking game two 9-3. The game one victory was the 100th win at Trevecca for Head Coach Ben Tyree.

GAME ONE RECAP
Trevecca scored all 13 runs in the second and third innings, making quick work of the Cougars to take the opener. Haylee Rogers hit a pair of two-run homers and Kari Mason had three hits and three RBI to spark the Trojans to the win.

Breanna Zeis led off the second inning with a single, and Rogers followed with her ninth home run of the season, blasting a 2-1 pitch over the right field fence to give the Trojans a 2-0 lead. Later in the inning, Mason's two-run double and an RBI single by Karli Rush made it 5-0 after an inning and a half.

The Trojans continued the onslaught in the third, sending 13 batters to the plate, scoring eight runs on six hits and one error by the Cougars. After Zeis led off the inning with a double, Rogers belted her 10th home run of the season, and second of the game, to make it 7-0. Mason, Zeis, and Heather Shuler added RBI singles in the inning, and the Trojans also scored on an error and a pair of wild pitches.

Mason went 3-4 with a double, three RBI, and two runs, while Rogers went 2-3 with two home runs, four RBI, and two runs. Zeis added three hits in four at-bats, driving in a run and scoring twice, and Rush went 2-2 with a walk, an RBI, and a run.

Lauren Baker (19-0) allowed just one hit in four innings to pick up the victory, striking out seven batters while walking just one. Hannah Schnebly pitched a scoreless inning in relief to close out the victory.

GAME TWO RECAP
Shortstop Kelsey Lantrip had three hits and three RBI to lead the Trojans' attack in the game two victory.

The Trojans jumped on top quickly, taking a 3-0 lead in the first inning on RBI singles by Karli Rush, Breanna Zeis, and Haylee Rogers. After Mid-Continent plated a run in the second, Lantrip's RBI single in the fourth made it 4-1 heading to the fifth inning.

A two-run single by Melinda Patterson and a two-run double by Lantrip highlighted a four-run fifth inning, effectively putting the game out of reach. The Cougars added single runs in the fifth and seventh innings, while the Trojans tacked on their final run in the top of the sixth on an RBI double by Heather Shuler.

Lantrip ended up going 3-5 with a double, three RBI, and a run, while Shuler went 3-4 with a double, an RBI, and two runs. Lauren Baker added a pair of hits and scored twice, while Patterson drove in a pair of runs.

Riley Mashburn (15-3) picked up the win in the circle, giving up eight hits and two runs in six innings, with three strikeouts and one walk. Hannah Schnebly pitched the seventh, giving up two hits and a run.
 
The Trojans return home Saturday for a Noon doubleheader with #RV Union University (31-10, 17-3 TranSouth), the second place team in the TranSouth standings.
