Box Score BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. - The Trevecca men's basketball team (10-12, 4-6 TranSouth) dropped their road game at Blue Mountain College (8-15, 2-8 TranSouth) 88-74 on Saturday at the Toppers Tyler Gym.
It was the first win for Blue Mountain the series, Trevecca leads the seris 7-1. The loss spoiled a 25 point effort by Trevecca's
Jeremy Dixon. The senior hit 7-8 from three-point range, one short of the Trevecca record for three-point field goals in a game.
The first half was a tight battle, with neither team establishing more than a four point advantage until the Trojans pulled ahead 34-29 with 3:05 to go in the first half. The Toppers scored the final six points of the half though, pulling ahead 35-34 at the break. Dixon had 13 first half points for Trevecca. TNU shot 48% (13-27) in the first half, but BMC shot 58% (15-26) in the period.
The Toppers added to their 6-0 run to the end the half with a 23-7 run to start the second half. The 29-7 run put the Toppers lead at 17 (58-41) with 12:08 remaining. Trevecca cut the BMC lead to just 11 points (66-55) with 7:57 remaining, but Blue Mountain used an 18-8 rund to take a 21-point (84-63) lead with 2:54 to go.
Dixon added a team-high five rebounds and a steal to his game-high 25 points.
Michael France (17) and
Marquise Rudolph (12) also reached double figures in scoring. Rudolph and
Camden Jordan led TNU with four assists apiece. Tyler Shaver, with 17 points, led five Toppers who scored in double figures. Lakendrick McCullum tallied a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. ÂÂ
Trevecca shot 27-56 (48%) from the field, 13-27 (48%) from three-point range, and 7-12 (58%) from the foul line. BMC topped TNU 36-17 in rebounding. Blue Mountain shot 34-55 (62%) from the field, hit 10-17 (59%) from three-point range, and were 10-13 (77%) from the foul line.

Trevecca will visit Bethel University (14-9, 3-6 TranSouth) in Dishman Gym (McKenzie, Tenn.) on Thursday at 8 p.m. The Wildcats beat Trevecca 73-71, on a buzzer beater, at Trevecca's Trojan Fieldhouse on January 13. The win broke a 18-game losing streak to the Trojans. Trevecca leads the series 46-31. Trevecca won 83-80 in two overtimes last year in McKenzie. The game was the NAIA Game of the Week on the Victory Sports Network.ÂÂ
