Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca's men's basketball team improved to 2-0 on the year with a 66-61 win at Fisk University's (1-2) Henderson A. Johnson Gym.
Keith Morris lead four Trojans in double figure with 19 points and added four rebounds. Trevecca failed to make three-point basket for the first time in 505 games, dating back to 1995.
Trevecca led by 10 in the first half, but Fisk rallied and led 33-29 at the half. In the second half Fisk pushed the lead to 12, but Trevecca outscored the Bulldogs down the stretch, outscoring Fisk 37-28 in the second half.
"We shot well from the field for the second game in a row. Keith was good in the post, really so were Eric and JP," said Trevecca coach Sam Harris. "Peyton and Keith played 40 minutes and Peyton handled the pressure well. He committed just three turnovers. It was really a team win. Blake scored his only two baskets late, but they were big."
"This year we're turning the corner when those defining moments present themselves during a game. That is the difference from our results last year."
Morris, a senior from Franklin, Tenn., made 6-10 field goal attempts and was 7-10 from the foul line.

Eric Orr (16), and
Peyton Henry (10) all joined Morris in double figures. Orr and Nyadaro each had a team-high six rebounds. Henry added three steals and two assists.
As a team, Trevecca shot 54% (19-35) from the field and 76% (28-37) from the foul line. Trevecca outrebounded Fisk 30-27.
Trevecca will host Lindsey Wilson College (3-0) on Thursday. The game will have a 7 p.m. tip at the Trojan Fieldhouse.
