The 43 points by France is believed to be the second best scoring total for a Trojan in school history. David Suddeth holds the school record with 52 points in a game. Avery Patton scored 42 in a game for the third most points in school history. The 43 points by France is also the most points by any player this season in NAIA Division 1 play.

The RedHawks scored first, but the Trojans' hot shooting helped them jump out to a 29-15 lead with 11:51 left in the half. Trevecca still led 34-23 with 7:33 left until halftime, but the RedHawks outscored the Trojans 19-9 the rest of the way, and Trevecca only led 43-42 at the half, despite shooting 71% from the field.

The Trojans pulled back out to a five point lead early in the second half, but MMC continued to apply the pressure, as the game became an entertaining, back-and-forth affair. There were five ties and seven lead changes in the second half, with the Trojans having the largest lead of the period at seven. The RedHawks took the lead 60-58 on a bucket by EJ Kirby with 14:02 remaining, their first lead since 2-0. The Trojans continued to have an answer for everything the RedHawks threw at them, and seemed to have the game in hand, taking an 89-82 lead on a bucket by France with 1:46 to play.

But Martin Methodist would not go away, and with Trevecca leading 90-86 and 18 seconds on the clock, Camden Jordan was called for an intentional foul. The intentional foul was called on Camden Jordan for pulling his opponents jersey. The RedHawks' Chris Goodwin made both free throws, and on the ensuing possession, MMC's James Justice converted a 3-point play to give the RedHawks a 91-90 lead. The Trojans couldn't answer, Martin Methodist knocked down two more free throws, and that was the game.

France drained 16 of 20 shots, including 7-9 from 3-point range, to lead all scorers. Marquise Rudolph added 18 points, and Jeremy Dixon added 17 points and six rebounds. Derrick Davis paced seven RedHawks in double figures with 14 points.

The Trojans shot 66% (33-50) from the field, 59% (13-22) from 3-point range, and 65% (11-17) from the line. MMC shot 57% (33-58) from the floor, 21% (3-14) from beyond the arc, and 75% (24-32) from the charity stripe.

Trevecca will host Mid-Continent University (0-20, 0-7 TranSouth) on Thursday at Trojan Fieldhouse. The game will tip following the women's game, at about 8 p.m.
