Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trevecca men's soccer team (2-2-1) dropped a 2-1 decision to NAIA No. 25 Bryan College (4-1-1) Tuesday afternoon at the Trojan soccer complex.
The Lions jumped up early, taking a 2-0 lead on goals by Harry Sherwood in the 16' and Ricky Angel in the 21'. Fortunately for Trevecca,
Josh Forth slowed the momentum with a goal in the 31' to cut the Trojans' halftime deficit to 2-1, despite the fact that the Lions out-shot the Trojans 10-3.
Trevecca played a man down after the ejection of
Darragh Bugter due to a second yellow card at 31:55.
In the second half, the Lions continued to put the pressure on, out-shooting Trevecca 14-1, but the scoreboard never changed, and the Lions went home with the 2-1 victory.
Hayden Coffman had 11 saves for the Trojans. Bryan took 24 total shots while Trevecca had just four on the game.
The Trojans are back in action Friday afternoon at 4 p.m., hosting Faulkner University (4-1-2).ÂÂ
