NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trevecca Lady Trojans (17-6) suffered their first defeats at home this season, losing both ends of a doubleheader to Lindsey Wilson College (17-8), 5-1 and 6-1.

In the first game, Lindsey Wilson jumped on top in the third inning when Alexis Rodgers tripled and scored on Megan Huckaby's groundout. The Trojans answered in the fourth, though, as Anais Puertas doubled deep to center field and later scored on Breanna Zeis' double. That would be if for the Trojan offense, however, as the Blue Raiders scored three runs in the sixth and added another run in the seventh to secure the win.

Lauren Baker (7-3) took the loss for Trevecca, giving up all five runs---three earned---on 12 hits, while striking out five and walking two. Morgan Paschall (10-4) earned the win for Lindsey Wilson.

In game two, the Blue Raiders scored three runs in the second inning on three hits, a wild pitch, and a Trojan error. Trevecca got one back in the bottom of the third on Anais Puertas' RBI single, but that was all the offense the Trojans could muster. The Blue Raiders tacked on three more runs in the fourth inning, on Lindsey Bridges' three-run home run, and that was enough to complete the sweep.

Riley Mashburn (8-3) suffered the loss for the Trojans, giving up five runs on nine hits in seven innings of work, with seven strikeouts and five walks. Morgan Paschall (11-4) got the win for the Blue Raiders.

The Trojans are right back in action Wednesday, traveling to Cumberland (5-12, 1-3) for a doubleheader that was re-scheduled from Monday due to inclement weather. The first game gets underway at 2 p.m.
