NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trojan volleyball team (15-19, 6-8 TranSouth)
wrapped up TranSouth play with a 3-1 win (25-17, 25,20, 23-25, 25-19 )
Saturday afternoon over Lyon College (10-24, 2-11 TranSouth) at Moore
Gym. Senior volleyball player Brooke Cannon was honored prior to the
match.
The
Trojans pulled away late to take game one, and then got off to a great
start in game two, jumping out to a 10-2 lead. Credit the Scots for
battling back, but the Trojans were still able to hold on for the win.
In game three, Lyon jumped out to a 9-3 lead, forcing a Trojan timeout.ÂÂ
Trevecca battled back, eventually taking the lead on a couple of
occasions, but Lyon held on for the victory to force a fourth game. In
game four, the Trojans jumped out to an early lead and maintained the
lead on the way to the victory.
The
Trojans now begin preparations for the TranSouth Conference tournament,
which will be November 8-10 at Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson,
Tenn.
