Tenn. - The Trojans (12-5, 3-1)
hosted Cumberland (12-5, 2-3) at Moore Gym and defeated the Bulldogs
27-25, 25-22, 17-25, 25-20 in the TranSouth Conference battle.

Trevecca
led 22-18 in game one and saw the Bulldogs rally to within a point of
the win at 24-23. Trevecca answered and won in extra points 27-25. In
game two the Trojans were down 16-11 before a rally pulled them ahead
for the win 25-22. The Bulldogs led by as many as eight points (21-13)
in game three before taking a 25-17 win. It was the most lopsided game
of the match.

In
the final game Cumberland jumped up 5-0 before the Trojans made it 5-4
with their own run. With Cumberland leading 15-12 the Trojans turned
the game and the match with a 7-0 run that put them ahead 19-15. The
visitors from Lebanon had another rally in them. They tied the game at
20 apiece with a 5-1 run. The Trojans had the final run of the game and
match as they closed out with Jennifer Peterson serving out the final
four points. Â
Trevecca
will visit conference leader Union University (16-1, 4-1 TSAC) on
