NASHVILLE – Trevecca Nazarene University men's soccer standout Chris Douglas has been named the Tennessee Sports Writers Association Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the second consecutive week, the organization announced Tuesday.
Douglas earned the honor for the week ending Sunday, Sept. 20, after producing two goals and an assist while helping the Trojans remain unbeaten and improve to 5-0-2 overall.
The senior accounted for five points and contributed to three of Trevecca's six goals in Saturday's 6-2 Gulf South Conference victory over Mississippi College.
Douglas wasted little time making an impact, scoring the first two goals of the match in the fourth and 14th minutes. He later assisted on the Trojans' fourth goal in the 30th minute.
The two-goal performance was his second multi-goal match of the season.
Douglas now has seven goals and one assist for 15 points through seven matches. His seven goals rank ninth in NCAA Division II, while his 15 points rank 12th nationally.
The award continues an impressive opening month for Douglas and the Trojans.
Douglas also received the TSWA Men's Soccer Player of the Week award on Sept. 15 after scoring three goals over the previous week, including both goals in a home victory over Johnson University and the equalizing goal in Trevecca's 1-1 Gulf South Conference draw at Montevallo.
With Tuesday's announcement, Douglas becomes the first repeat winner of the TSWA Men's Soccer Player of the Week award during the 2026 season.
Trevecca has produced three TSWA soccer Player of the Week honors through the first four weeks of the season. Douglas has earned the men's honor twice, while Elsa Bengtsson was selected as the TSWA Women's Soccer Player of the Week on Sept. 9.
