CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Trevecca Nazarene University women's golf opened the 2026-27 season Monday with the first two rounds of The City with Spirit Fall Classic, hosted by Lee University at Cleveland Country Club.
The 54-hole event features 16 teams and 86 individuals competing on the par-72, 6,036-yard course. The final 18 holes are scheduled for Tuesday.
Gracee Prince led the Trojans in her Trevecca debut, finishing the day tied for 26th with a 153 +9 (75-78). Prince opened with a three-over-par 75 and followed with a 78 in the second round. Her 75 and 153 establish her Trevecca season and career lows for 18 and 36 holes.
Prince also led the Trojans with three birdies in the opening round and added another in round two, giving her four through the first 36 holes.
Trevecca posted a 635 (318-317) through the opening 36 holes, improving by one stroke in Monday's second round. The team is 10th of 16 overall through the first two rounds. The 635 is just one stroke off the 634 the Trojans posted through 36 holes at the CSU Lady Cougar Classic last spring, a two-round total that ranked among the top 10 in program history.
MORE TROJAN NOTES
Sophomore Mattie Goad is tied for 53rd with a 158 +14 (80-78). Goad improved two strokes in the second round, following an opening 80 with a six-over-par 78. The 78 is her season-low round. Her Trevecca career bests remain 71 for 18 holes, 147 for 36 holes and 228 for 54 holes, all established during her freshman season.
Madison Hull is tied for 68th with a 161 +17 (79-82). Her opening-round 79 establishes her 2026-27 season low. Hull owns Trevecca career bests of 75 for 18 holes, 155 over 36 holes and 232 for 54 holes.
Hull was especially effective on the par-three holes, tying for fourth in the 86-player field Monday with a one-under-par 2.88 scoring average.
Kamryn Vester produced Trevecca's biggest round-to-round improvement Monday. After an opening 84, Vester cut five strokes in the second round with a seven-over-par 79 to finish the day at 163 +19 (84-79).
Vester was one of the field's best on the par-three holes, tying for second with a two-under-par 2.75 scoring average. Her second round also included four birdies, the most by a Trojan in either round Monday.
The 79 establishes Vester's season low, while her Trevecca career bests remain 76 for 18 holes, 156 for 36 holes and 238 over 54 holes.
Audrey Reese also moved in the right direction during round two, improving from an opening 87 to an 85 and finishing the day with a 172 +28 (87-85). The 85 establishes her season low. Reese's Trevecca career bests are 77 for 18 holes, 157 for 36 holes and 243 for 54 holes.
TROJAN TEAM NOTES
Trevecca finished second in the field on the par-three holes with a 3.10 scoring average.
The Trojans collected 10 birdies and 97 pars during Monday's 36 holes. Prince and Vester led Trevecca with four birdies each. Prince recorded three in the opening round and another in round two, while Vester produced all four of her birdies during the second round. Goad and Hull added one birdie each.
Because The City with Spirit Fall Classic is Trevecca's season-opening event, Monday's tournament birdie totals are also the 2026-27 season totals.
