NASHVILLE – Crissie Cunha Lima, an NAIA All-American Honorable Mention selection who established three Trevecca volleyball single-season records while helping lead the Trojans to 65 victories in two seasons, is a member of the 2026 Trevecca Athletic Hall of Fame Class.
Trevecca Athletics officially announces Cunha Lima as a member of the 2026 Trevecca Athletic Hall of Fame Class.
The 2026 Class is scheduled to be inducted during Trevecca's Homecoming Weekend. The induction ceremony for the 2026 Class of the Trevecca Athletics Hall of Fame is set for Saturday, November 7 at 9:00 AM in the Boone Convocation Center on the Trevecca campus.
The 2026-27 school year marks the 125th anniversary of Trevecca's founding in 1901, adding significance to a Hall of Fame class connected to multiple eras of Trevecca Athletics history.
The 2026 Trevecca Athletic Hall of Fame Class will be the largest class in the history of Trevecca Athletics, celebrating the rich Trojan history during the 125th Trevecca Anniversary Celebration.
A junior college All-American before transferring to Trevecca, Cunha Lima made an immediate impact during her two seasons in Purple and White.
NATIONAL, REGIONAL AND CONFERENCE HONORS
Cunha Lima earned NAIA All-American Honorable Mention and NAIA Academic All-American honors in 2003.
She was selected to the NAIA Region XI First Team in both 2002 and 2003 and was a two-time TranSouth First Team selection.
Her honors also included the 2002 TranSouth Newcomer of the Year award, 2003 TranSouth All-Tournament Team recognition and TranSouth Scholar-Athlete honors in both seasons.
Cunha Lima was also named the Asbury Invitational Tournament MVP and earned Lee University Invitational All-Tournament Team honors during her Trevecca career.
A RECORD-SETTING ARRIVAL
Cunha Lima's first season at Trevecca produced one of the most productive individual seasons in program history.
In 2002, she established Trevecca single-season records with 619 kills, 106 service aces and 155 games played.
She earned TranSouth Newcomer of the Year, NAIA Region XI First Team, TranSouth First Team and TranSouth Scholar-Athlete honors.
Her performance helped Trevecca finish 31-15, the second-most victories in program history at the time.
The Trojans climbed to NAIA No. 27, the highest national ranking in program history at the time, and finished second in the TranSouth, also the program's highest conference finish to that point.
2003 ALL-AMERICAN SEASON
Cunha Lima followed her record-setting debut with another nationally recognized season in 2003.
She earned NAIA All-American Honorable Mention, NAIA Academic All-American, NAIA Region XI First Team, TranSouth First Team, TranSouth All-Tournament Team and TranSouth Scholar-Athlete honors.
Cunha Lima recorded 100 service aces while playing in 133 games.
Trevecca finished 34-8, setting a program record for victories, placed second in the TranSouth and advanced to the semifinals of the NAIA Regional for the second consecutive season.
The 2002 and 2003 teams combined for a 65-23 record.
A TWO-YEAR TREVECCA IMPACT
Cunha Lima's Trevecca career was brief in length but extensive in accomplishment.
In two seasons, she earned national, regional, conference and academic recognition, established three single-season school records and helped the Trojans reach new program standards for victories, conference finish and national ranking.
Her combination of individual production, national recognition, academic achievement and team success established a lasting place in the history of Trevecca volleyball and now a place in the Trevecca Athletic Hall of Fame.
