NASHVILLE - Trevecca Nazarene University Athletics launches The Standard Deserves a Stadium, a $1 million fundraising initiative to enhance the Trojan Softball Complex and provide a facility that better reflects the program's accomplishments and ambitions.
The project includes permanent grandstand seating and a spacious, enclosed press box designed to improve the fan experience and better support game-day operations, media coverage, and live stream broadcasting. Plans also include improvements to the playing surface, including an artificial turf infield.
The initiative invites alumni, families, friends, and supporters to help provide the facilities and resources needed to sustain the program's competitive standard and support its continued development.

"The Standard Deserves a Stadium initiative is a necessary step in helping our softball program maintain its competitiveness in the Gulf South Conference and across the region," said Trevecca Director of Athletics Mark Elliott. "Our softball team has consistently performed at a level that exceeds the investment reflected in its current facility. Enhancements are needed to strengthen our recruiting efforts, improve the fan experience, and provide the technology and broadcasting infrastructure necessary to support the program. This project represents an achievable opportunity to address an immediate need while building momentum for continued investment in Trevecca Athletics."
For head softball coach Ben Tyree, the project connects the standard his players establish on the field with the resources that support their success.
"The Standard Deserves a Stadium initiative represents an important investment in the future of Trevecca Softball," Tyree said. "Upgraded facilities will strengthen our ability to recruit and develop outstanding student-athletes, enhance the experience for our players and fans, and create an environment that supports the continued growth of our program. Our players have established a standard of excellence on the field, and this project will help ensure that the resources surrounding them match that standard. We are grateful for everyone who believes in the future of Trojan Softball and is willing to help us build a facility our entire Trevecca community can be proud of."
Trevecca Athletics and the Office of Institutional Advancement are partnering on the initiative, with opportunities to support the project through major gifts and annual giving.
"Our softball program has established a standard worthy of this investment, and it's time our facility reflected that standard," said Brady Ray, assistant athletic director. "We're excited about the opportunity to rally our Trevecca community around this vision and invite our alumni, families, and supporters to help make it a reality."
Construction is anticipated to begin once the full $1 million fundraising goal is met. Support from the Trevecca community is essential to reaching that goal and bringing the planned improvements to life.
