Trevecca Women’s Golf | Record-Setting Week Leads Trojans at GSC Championships

DICKSON, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's golf team finished sixth at the 2026 Gulf South Conference Championships, held at Greystone Golf Club, a par 72 course playing 6,002 yards.

Trevecca posted rounds of 307, 317 and 318 for a 54-hole total of 942 in the nine-team field.

The Trojans opened the championship with a 307, matching the lowest round in program history, and remained in the top five through 36 holes before closing the event in sixth place. The 624 total through 36 holes is the second-lowest in program history, trailing only the 622 posted by the 2016-17 team. Trevecca's 942 is a new program record for lowest 54-hole total, surpassing the previous mark of 954 set by the 2015-16 team.

Freshman Mattie Goad led Trevecca with a tie for 10th place at 228 (+12). Goad opened with a 1-under 71, tied for the third-lowest single round score in program history, and held second place after two rounds before finishing inside the top 10. Her 147 through 36 holes is tied for a top-five mark in program history, while her 228 ranks among the top five 54-hole totals. Goad recorded 10 birdies in the tournament and ranked tied for eighth in par-three scoring at 3.17.

Emma Almquist finished tied for 13th at 230 (+14), posting rounds of 76, 78 and 76. Almquist recorded 35 pars, sixth most in the field.

Makenzie Norwood placed tied for 29th at 244 (+28), while Madison Hull (249, +33) and Kamryn Vester (250, +34) rounded out the scoring five.

Trevecca totaled 25 birdies and 138 pars over the three rounds. The Trojans ranked fourth in the field in par-three scoring with a 3.40 average.

Lee claimed the team championship with a 903 total, edging West Florida by one stroke. West Florida's Millie Thompson earned medalist honors with a 220.
