Trevecca Women’s Golf | Trojans Post Top-10 All-Time Marks, Almquist and Goad Pace Strong Showing in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ga. – Trevecca Nazarene University women's golf finished eighth at the 2026 CSU Lady Cougar Classic at Green Island Country Club. The course played to a par 72 over 5,870 yards with 12 teams and 70 individuals competing.

Trevecca posted a 955 (313-321-321), one of the top 10 team scores in program history. The 36-hole total of 634 ranks among the top 10 all-time results, while the opening-round 313 stands as a top 20 single-round score.

Emma Almquist led the Trojans, finishing tied for 15th with a 232 (76-77-79). The total ranks among the top 10 individual scores in program history.

Mattie Goad continued a strong freshman campaign, finishing tied for 27th with a 239 (76-81-82). The total is a top 15 score all-time. The Lafayette, Tennessee native and Macon County High School product has consistently produced in her first season on the Hill.

Almquist ranked second in the field with a 3.08 average on par-three holes and recorded 25 pars, eighth most in the field.

Goad finished fifth in the field on par-three holes with a 3.17 average and added five birdies, ranking 23rd.

Madison Hull led the Trojans with seven birdies, seventh most in the field. Audrey Reese added five birdies.

TEAM NOTES

Trevecca finished fourth in the field on par-five holes with a 5.25 average, sixth on par-three holes at 3.5, and seventh on par-four holes with a 4.55 average.

The Trojans ranked sixth in the field with 23 total birdies.

The Trojans have one more test before the postseason starts. They play in the Music City Classic hosted by Cumberland University at the Hermitage Golf Course, General's Retreat Course, April 13-14.

The 2026 Gulf South Conference Championships are scheduled for the Greystone Golf Club in Dickson, Tenn. April 20-22.
