ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Trevecca Nazarene University cross country teams competed against programs from across the country Saturday at the Lewis Crossover, with the Trojan men finishing 26th among 27 scoring teams and the women placing 24th among 26 scoring teams at the Lewis Cross Country Course.
Joshua Novotny and Ashley Alsvig led their respective Trojan packs for the third consecutive meet. Both lowered their times from last year's Lewis Crossover, while Sarah Arnold cut more than two minutes from her 2025 performance on the course.
"This was a really competitive field, and we felt everyone put forth a great effort," Trevecca Head Coach Kate Bucknam said. "A meet this size can be tough to navigate with so many runners, but our crew competed well for where we are in the season. Joshua and Caleb both put together strong races, our top three women shined, and our freshmen took on their first collegiate 6K in a challenging field.
"We're training hard through the middle of the season and focusing on the UAH meet, with our eyes on getting back to our home course for the conference championships. It was fun and valuable for our team to compete against an elite field, and we know we have more in the tank."
