NASHVILLE - The Trevecca Nazarene University cheerleading team heads to Florida this weekend to compete on one of the sport's biggest stages at the UCA Division I All Girls Game Day Nationals and the University World Cup Cheerleading Championships at ESPN's Wide World of Sports Complex.
 
Trevecca will compete in the UCA Division I Nationals semifinals on Friday, Jan. 16, with finals scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 17. A total of 31 teams are entered in the division, with the top 50 percent from Friday's semifinals advancing to Saturday's finals. The Trojans are set to perform at 12:54 p.m. Friday and will learn whether they advance at approximately 4:45 p.m. Competition will take place inside AdventHealth Arena.
 
The weekend concludes on Sunday, Jan. 18, when Trevecca competes in the University World Cup Cheerleading Championships. Eight teams will vie for the title, with the Trojans scheduled to perform at 5:39 p.m. in the State Farm Field House at ESPN.
