NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene women's soccer team (2-3-2, 0-1-2 GSC) controlled much of the match but couldn't find the breakthrough, settling for a 0-0 draw against Auburn Montgomery (1-3-1, 0-1-1 GSC) on Friday afternoon at the Trojan Soccer Complex.
SERIES HISTORY/NOTES
This was just the second meeting between the two programs. Trevecca won the first matchup last season, while Friday's contest ends in the first draw of the series.
THE MATCH
Trevecca dictated the tempo from start to finish, producing 19 shots with five on target compared to just three total shots for the Warhawks. Despite the heavy pressure, AUM goalkeeper Karla Ortiz made five saves to keep the Trojans off the board.
The Trojans also generated four corner kicks and saw several close chances in the second half but were unable to convert. Defensively, Trevecca held Auburn Montgomery without a shot on target until late in the match, recording their third shutout of the season.
UP NEXT
Trevecca will return home on Sunday to host Valdosta State (1-3-3, 0-2 GSC) at 1:00 p.m. at the Trojan Soccer Complex.
