NASHVILLE - Trevecca Nazarene University freshman soccer goalkeeper Hunter Walker is the Gulf South Conference freshman of the week for the week ending, Sunday, September 14, 2025.
Walker, who played locally at Christ Presbyterian in high school, led Trevecca to a 1-0-1 week on the road, including a 1-1 decision at No. 15 Cedarville University and a clean sheet 1-0 win at Ohio Dominican University.
The shutout at ODU is his first career shutout in his second career start.
In the two non-conference games against two former Great Midwest Athletic Conference foes, Walker allowed just one goal over the 180 minutes.
The six-foot-one Franklin, Tennessee native tallied six saves over the two games. The Trojans and Walker are now 2-0-1 on the season.
The Trojans host open Gulf South Conference play this week. Starting with a trip to play the Tigers of the University of West Alabama in Livingston, Alabama on Friday. Their home GSC opener is Sunday when UAH visits the Music City at 4:30 PM.
