NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's soccer team (2-1-0) earned their second win of the season with a 4-2 victory over Kentucky Wesleyan (0-2-1) on Thursday evening at the Trevecca Soccer Complex.

The Trojans improved to 17-4-2 all-time against the Panthers.
THE MATCH
Trevecca wasted no time getting on the board as
Kayelee Maners opened the scoring in the 9th minute, finishing a through ball from
Cassie Groves.
Kentucky Wesleyan equalized shortly after with a penalty kick by Haley Osborne, but Trevecca reclaimed the lead in the 34th minute on a Panther own goal after a cross by
Noelle Garcia.
KWC answered again early in the second half with a goal from Deca Burr to make it 2-2, but it was all Trojans from there.
Anna Farrell took over, netting two goals in a six-minute span. The first came in the 60th minute with an assist from
Hannah Case, and the second was an unassisted strike to push the lead to 4-2.
Trevecca outshot the Panthers 19-8, including 8 shots on goal, while allowing only three shots in the first half. The Trojan defense held firm in the final 25 minutes to secure the result.

Trevecca opens their road slate next Saturday, September 13, when they visit Carson-Newman (2-1-0) in Jefferson City. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
