NASHVILLE - The Gulf South Conference released the 2025 GSC Preseason Men's Soccer Coaches Poll, All-Conference Team, and 2025 GSC Newcomer Watch list.
The Trojans are picked to finish in a tie for eighth this season by the league coaches.
The poll and preseason team were determined via an online ballot by the GSC's 12 head men's soccer coaches, who were not able to vote for their own team or student-athletes.
LOOKING BACK AT THE 2024 TROJANS
Trevecca is picked to finish in a tie for eighth in their second year in the Gulf South Conference after a sixth place finish a in year one in the GSC. The Trojans advanced to the postseason going 5-9-3 overall and 4-5-2 in the league.
In 2024, TNU started with a 2-0 win over UAH in their GSC opener and then tied then No. 23 Univ. of West Alabama 1-1. The Trojans added wins over Spring Hill, Lee, and Union while getting a 1-1 tie with Delta State.
In their first GSC postseason appearance, the Trojans fell on the road to No. 24 AUM.
The Trojans picked up five (5) weekly honors. Adan Gonzalez earned the Goalkeeper of the Week twice, Chris Douglas netted the Freshman of the Week twice, and Max Titterington was selected the Defensive Player of the Week once.
A PEAK AT THE 2025 TROJANS
The Trojans host Covenant College for a preseason exhibition match on Wednesday, August 20 at 6 PM. Then their regular season opener is September 4 at 5:30 PM when Carson-Newman Univ. visits for a non-conference tilt. The Trojans dip into their old conference, the Great Midwest, to play two more non-conference games on the road at Ohio Dominican Univ. (9/11) and Cedarville Univ. (9/13).

The 2025 Trojans have four seniors and seven juniors. There are eight sophomores and five freshmen.
The Trojans have a number of newcomers who will make an impact in their first year. Three making the GSC Watch List are - Tomas Barros, a transfer from Cal State Fullerton. Barros hails from Brag, Portugal. Another German joins the TNU roster, Fabian Willert is from Berlin, Germany. Hunter Walker, a freshmen, redshirted last season at Tennessee Wesleyan College.
2025 GSC MEN'S SOCCER PREVIEW
The Univ. of West Florida, the 2024 GSC regular season champion, is the top pick for the 2025 season, gaining eight of the 12 first place votes. AUM is picked to finish second and Christian Brothers is picked third, both received two first place votes.
Trevecca is picked to finish eighth after finishing sixth last season.
The UWF Argonauts topped the GSC preseason rankings with 117 points. Reigning GSC tournament champion Auburn Montgomery claimed 106 points and two first-place votes for second, while Christian Brothers also garnered two first-place votes and trailed AUM by one-point in third.
