SPARTANBURG, SC – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's golf team opened their spring schedule in Spartanburg at the Converse University Invitational.
The low Trojan is Makenzie Norwood who posted a 86-82=168.
TROJAN TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
The Trojans finished with a 346-335=681, improving their score in the second round by 11 strokes. Monday's round was played in difficult conditions, including rain.
The Trojans finished second in par five scoring with a 5.53 average.
The team combined to write down five birdies and 63 pars.

TROJAN INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS
Ava Neal
Carded the best scoring average on the par five holes on the team and tied for third in the field at 5.25.
Her 177 equals her best season total over 36-holes.
Audrey Reese
Reese shot even par on the par five holes, producing the best average in the field at 5.00.
Reese posted two birdies over the 36-hole event, leading the team.
In the second round, Reese birdied the par five 467 yard no. 18, which played as the fourth toughest hole on the course.
Madison Hull
Hull had the fifth best average on the par three holes, averaging 3.38.
Added a birdie to her totals.
Makenzie Norwood
Norwood turned in the eighth best scoring average (4.50) on the par four holes.
One of four Trojans to record a birdie. Her birdie can on the second toughest hole of the championship, the par four 321-yard no. 17.
Sara Blake Coley
Coley posted the eighth best scoring average on the par five holes at 5.38.
Carded a birdie during the two-day championship.
UP NEXT
The team heads to Greeneville, Tennessee for the Agnes McAmis Memorial hosted by Tusculum University at the Link Hills Country Club.
Lady Bearcat Invitational is next on March 24-25 hosted by Lander University at the Greenwood Country Club.
The final tune up before the postseason is the Music City Classic hosted by Cumberland University April 7-8 at the Hermitage Golf Course.
The first venture to the Gulf South Championships is April 16-18 at the Tunica National Golf Club in Tunica, Mississippi.
