NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Trevecca Nazarene University women's basketball team (3-1, 0-0 GSC) turned in its strongest defensive performance of the season on Wednesday afternoon, defeating Emory & Henry (1-3, 0-0 SAC) by a score of 80–38 at the Trojan Fieldhouse.

Wednesday marked the first-ever meeting between Trevecca and Emory & Henry.
THE MATCH
Trevecca set the tone early with a 17–12 first-quarter lead, then broke the game open with a dominant second frame. The Trojans shot 62.5% in the second quarter while holding Emory & Henry to just two made field goals, outscoring the Wasps 25–8 to take a 42–20 lead into halftime.
The defensive pressure continued in the third. Trevecca limited Emory & Henry to five made field goals in the period and stretched the margin to 58–34 heading into the fourth quarter.
The Trojans closed with their most explosive stretch, posting 22 fourth-quarter points while allowing only four on a single made field goal. Trevecca's depth, pace, and pressure carried the final minutes as the Trojans secured an 80–38 victory.

Trevecca shot 46.2% (30-for-65) from the field, 38.5% (10-for-26) from three, and 62.5% (10-for-16) at the line.
Emory & Henry finished 24.5% (13-for-53) from the floor, 15.8% (3-for-19) from three, and 75.0% (9-for-12) at the stripe.

Tatum Shaw led Trevecca with 20 points, shooting 8-for-12 from the field and 4-for-8 from three, adding 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal.
Cheyenne Trotter added 13 points (5-for-7 FG), 10 rebounds, and 2 assists, recording her third straight double-double.
Jayda Woods contributed 12 points on 5-for-9 shooting, along with 3 rebounds.
Jordan Gillies posted 7 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals in 32 minutes.
