PENSACOLA, Fla. – The 2025 Trevecca Nazarene University volleyball team (21-8) continues its history-making season, charting new territory yet again. For the first time in the NCAA Division II era, the Trojans have secured the No. 2 seed at their conference championships—earning a double-bye and a direct ticket into the 2025 Gulf South Conference Volleyball Semifinals.
Trevecca will face No. 3 seed Alabama Huntsville (24-6), which advanced Saturday with a five-set victory over No. 7 seed Christian Brothers.

TROJANS VS. CHARGERS | SERIES SNAPSHOT
Alabama Huntsville leads the all-time series 24-6, but the match up has tightened in recent years. Trevecca has claimed three of the last eight contests, including a 3-0 sweep in Spragins Hall on September 27—just the program's third road win at UAH.
The historic first meeting between the teams took place in 1989, a Trevecca win at Spragins. TNU's only other win in Huntsville came in 2021.
The Chargers answered back in 2025, defeating Trevecca in four sets inside Trojan Fieldhouse on October 24.
Prior the last eight meetings, UAH had won 19 of the previous 20 match ups.
At neutral sites, UAH holds a narrow 2-1 advantage.
This will be the first-ever postseason meeting between the two programs in volleyball.
2025 GSC VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The championships return to the UWF Field House, hosted by top-seeded West Florida (25-5)—ranked #21 in the latest AVCA Top 25. This marks the 15th time the Argonauts have served as tournament hosts.
Trevecca continues to outperform expectations. Picked sixth in the preseason poll after finishing their inaugural GSC season in 2024 as the No. 6 seed, the Trojans have surged into the league's upper tier, stacking quality wins and positioning themselves for their best postseason opportunity since winning the Great Midwest Championship in 2015 an advancing to the NCAA Midwest Regional.
